An outstanding International event of sculpture, unique in the region, which will be attended by  sculptors with experience in sculpture symposiums. Sculptors must submit a proposal to gain a place among the 12 participants who will be selected by an international jury to participate in this sculpture symposium in Guatemala.

This is an event designed so that the artist can develop his monumental work without worries, with the necessary technical facilities to devote themselves fully to their creation.  The selected artists will get, in addition of their fees, round trip air ticket, hotel and meals covered by the organizers during the time of the event.

An affluence of the public that will surpass the 130.000 spectators is expected during the 18 days of work in the National Museum of Modern Art in Guatemala City.  They will carve a very special material:  white marble from Guatemala that has extraordinary features.  Besides lectures will be conducted by participating artists, exhibitions of national and international sculpture, carving workshops for children, youth and adults as well as other cultural activities to complement the activities of this extraordinary celebration of art and culture.

The sculptors, their assistants and volunteers interested in being part of this memorable festival will be able to register through this site where they will also find information on what Guatemala with Mayan and colonial culture has to offer to its visitors besides its extraordinary natural attributes.
